Bella Hadid is getting emotional as she battles another Lyme disease episode.
Hadid revealed she is currently going through a flare-up she hasn't been able to "shake off" in her Instagram stories Thursday, June 25. The supermodel, 29, shared an emotional photo of herself lying down crying, writing that despite sleeping for "11 hours," napping daily and taking "every protocol from any and every doctor I've seen," she has not been able to find relief.
She added that her symptoms often lead to "severe isolation and depression, especially over long periods of time."
"Now I've diagnosed myself with 12 other things so that's good," she said sarcastically. "And today is not the day to tell me to journal. And yes I drank water. And no I didnt go on a walk because I was out of breath walking to the kitchen," she added, with laughing emojis.
With a bit of humor, she acknowledged her own advice hadn't been working amid the episode.
"I don't think there's a singular brain cell in there working and my last two are beefing with each other so I'm sorry if I ever told you on a bad day to journal I take it back and I'm sorry," she continued, adding crying emojis. "I took a shower without fainting tho … so again, if you know you know …. that felt like a really big accomplishment for me today so maybe someone can send me a cookie or something."

She also shared a few Reels from comedian Oliver George about living with chronic illness, including about making plans amid their conditions.

In another story posted early Friday morning, Hadid returned to calm any concerns.
Attached to a photo of a deer outside a window, she wrote, "I'm sorry if I worried anyone.
"I know it sounds jarring but in full truth it's my reality so it's something I'm able to cope with to a capacity now," she continued. "this truly is an every day, ebb and Flo, for me for the past 15 years."
Hadid has been open about her Lyme disease diagnosis in the last few years, after she was first diagnosed as a teen in 2012. Her mother, Yolanda Hadid, and brother Anwar Hadid also live with the condition, which is typically spread through bites from infected ticks – often those that are attached for at least 24 hours. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Lyme Disease "spread from mother to fetus is possible but extremely rare."

Bella Hadid revealed major hospitalizations in 2023 and 2025 that required treatment, both of which she recovered from enough to return to the runway.
The model went on to thank fans for their support after she opened up.
"I just had an overwhelming amount of emotion over, not being able to do the things my mind is capable of setting, but my body is not capable of doing," she wrote. "Every day is a new day and tomorrow I'm hoping for, God willing, a better one. I love you guys so much thank you for all of your support. I wasn't expecting it, but I'm truly grateful."
