Teachers may have loved apples in decades past, but in the 21st century, a meager piece of fruit just isn't going to cut it. Enter Chipotle's Teacher Appreciation Week giveaway.
Chipotle Mexican Grill officially launched its 2026 Teacher Appreciation Week promotion on Wednesday, April 29, giving teachers across the country the opportunity to win an e-gift card worth one free meal. Up to 100,000 educators will be selected, totaling $1 million in free Chipotle.
In a statement, Stephanie Perdue, Chipotle's senior vice president of brand marketing, said, "At Chipotle, we're committed to showing up for the communities we serve, and that starts with the people who make a difference every day."

How to enter Chipotle's Teacher Appreciation Week giveaway
Until May 12, teachers are encouraged to visit Chipotle's Teacher Thanks website and enter their name and email for the chance to snag an e-gift card.
Then, beginning May 13, randomly selected winners will be notified and asked to confirm their employment as an educator via ID.me within 48 hours. Those who don't verify their employment will be removed from the list of winners, and another name will be drawn.
According to Chipotle, last year's Teacher Appreciation Week and its sister sweepstakes for health care workers saw the "highest participation to date."
Launched in 2016, the two promotions have doled out a combined $16 million in free Chipotle to teachers and medical professionals.
"Recognizing teachers and healthcare workers through this program is one way we can give back meaningfully," Perdue said.
