Dylan Dreyer is opening up about her new normal after confirming that she’s “recently divorced” from ex-husband Brian Fichera.
The 45-year-old Today show meteorologist confirmed that she and Fichera had finalized their divorce during the Thursday, Oct. 15, episode of her Parent Chat podcast.
The former spouses announced their separation in July 2025 after 12 years of marriage. Eight months later, Dreyer filed for divorce in March 2026.

Dreyer, who shares sons Calvin, 9, Ollie, 6, and Rusty, 5, with Fichera, has also found herself with a new frequent member of her household — her mom, Linda.
“I don’t know what I would do without having my mom here,” Dreyer shared. “I don’t think a couple years ago, my mom ever thought that she would be kinda living with me, emptying out backpacks, cleaning off the lunch boxes, and helping me run everybody around. But it is what it is, and now she’s here. And I honestly don’t know what I would do without her.”
Linda doesn’t live near her daughter, but stays with the NBC morning show co-host “for weeks, months at a time.”

“I’m blessed that my mom is retired, and she can stay with me and kind of give up her life back home for a little while,” Dreyer explained.
Despite not enjoying being on camera, Linda joined her daughter for part of the podcast, discussing their unique living situation.

“I enjoy being here. I love being there,” Linda shared. “I just kind of wish it wasn’t so far away so I could run home for another couple days here and there, but it’s a long distance and it’s not my favorite thing to fly.”
Dreyer said the setup has improved her relationship with her mom, adding, “I feel like we’ve gotten closer in the last couple of years. I think you’ve been here for me in a way that I never would have asked you otherwise. But I needed you, and you stepped up to that, and you’re here to help me.”
And while Linda sticks to her daughter’s household rules, she does admit that Dreyer is more lax with dinnertime antics and tidying up than she was.
But overall, she’s mostly impressed by all Dreyer takes on in her role as a full-time working mom.
“Sometimes I think maybe you take on too much,” Linda admitted. “Like, you’re spread so thin sometimes. I don’t think I could have done something like that.”

Several months after her and Fichera’s split, Dreyer got candid on the fourth hour of Today about her priorities moving forward.
“First and foremost the kids have to feel love and they have to be happy,” she said at the time. “I have three boys. I want their dad in their lives. They need that. They need both the dynamic of a father and a mother. We’re providing that to them in the best way possible.”
