The spinoff of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives will follow young mothers in Orange County navigating faith, family and modern challenges

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County has an OG MomTok star joining the cast!

The new spinoff, which Hulu officially announced on Wednesday, April 22, will feature The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Jen Affleck.

Affleck, 26, shared the news in a post on her Instagram and TikTok on Sunday, April 26, posting a clip featuring the other women in the cast, including Bobbi Althoff, Madison Bontempo, Aspyn Ovard, Avery Woods, Salomé Andrea, Ashleigh Pease and McCall DaPron, whose sister is Affleck’s fellow OG and MomTok star, Mayci Neeley.

In the video — captioned “Coming to @hulu 2026!! @secretlivesonhulu” — Affleck could be seen flicking her hair and walking towards the camera as her name flashed up on the screen. She then blew a kiss to the camera as it switched to Andrea, along with their other costars, in separate clips.

The group came together at the end of the montage as the hashtag #OCmoms came up on the screen.

“😍😍😍,” wrote Neeley in the comments section, while her costar Mikayla Matthews added a fire emoji.

FishFam YouTuber Bontempo shared, “K I love this 👏👏👏👏.”

PEOPLE confirmed the spinoff was in the works in March before Hulu announced the cast on Wednesday, with the series set to air this year.

During season 4 of SLOMW, Affleck was seen temporarily relocating to Los Angeles while she competed on season 34 of Dancing with the Stars alongside her fellow costar, Whitney Leavitt.

Then, in late October 2025, Affleck told PEOPLE that she and her family — husband Zac and children Nora, 4, Lucas, 2, and Penny, 9 months — were moving to California and they weren’t going to be living too far away from her DWTS pro Jan Ravnik.

“Hey, turns out Jen's moving to L.A. and Jan's my neighbor,” Jen joked to PEOPLE, adding that fans can expect to see more of their fun TikTok videos.

“We’re neighbors,” Ravnik confirmed, to which Jen added with a laugh, “We’re literally neighbors.”

Jen and Zac moved out of their Orem, Utah home in 2024, relocating to New York City for Zac's medical school. They have also spent time in Arizona amid Zac’s studies.

The reality TV star confirming that she’s a part of the new spinoff comes after Rob Mills, executive vice president of unscripted for Walt Disney TV, was quizzed by Variety about the reports that Jen would be a cast member.

“There’s definitely room for not just Jen, but many members of the Utah ‘Mormon Wives,’ ” said Mills in an interview published on Wednesday. “That’s all being discussed. We’re really just starting the show, but as you see, Mayci’s sister is on there! I think in a perfect world, it’s something where there’s room for everybody to kind of pop in and out.”

In a press release, Hulu teased of the show, "A new group of dynamic young mothers in Orange County collide in a community where beliefs are not just their religion; they are their identity. While some defend their way of life, fighting against modernity, others embrace change, becoming a platform to disrupt the status quo.”

The release continued, “Scandals and secrets will be revealed, facades will crumble, and families and friendships will change forever on both sides of the battlefield as this group of strong, game-changing influencers comes together to build their answer to #MomTok."

Last week, PEOPLE reported that season 5 of the original series will continue filming following a weeks-long pause amid an open "domestic assault investigation" involving Paul and her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen.

On April 14, the Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office announced that they would not be pursuing charges against Paul.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County is expected to land on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers this year.
