Did you hear? Minimalism is out and maximalism is back in. That means “quiet luxury” is no longer the pinnacle of good style—and thank goodness. In the mood to carry a capacious bag or casually sport a tiara? Do it! Want to decorate everything you own with charms, stack your belts like building blocks, and embrace every loud print in the book? Go for it!
Over the weekend, Jennifer Lopez seemed to be taking that last mindset to heart, as she dressed for a Sunday out in Los Angeles with her longtime manager, Benny Medina, and some friends.
The pop star embraced color with a pastel, floral-printed midi dress that brought the dose of spring.

If you’re hoping to emulate her style, this particular dress appeared to be the Elia sundress from London-based brand House of CB. The strappy, ivory design, with its print of yellow, pink, and purple flowers, would look right at home everywhere from the farmer’s market to the garden party. It featured a sweetheart neckline with underwire cups, and subtle corsetry along the bodice. Meanwhile, the tiered, flowing skirt was defined by a strip of ruffles.
To complete her look, J.Lo slipped into a pair of brown leather platform boots from Coach, and accessorized with one of her go-to handbag brands: Hermès. Ever a fan of a rare Hermès find, Lopez chose the Kelly picnic bag made of a wicker body with chocolate leather trim. For a playful touch, she dangled cherry-shaped leather charms from the top handle.
The “Can’t Get Enough” singer finished off her fit by tying her hair up into a messy bun and adding on a dainty silver pendant necklace and some over-oversize sunglasses.
Take a cue from J.Lo this spring and try getting a little loud with your style. Why not?
