Amid speculation that Fanatics’ boss and CEO, Michael Rubin, moved the date of his annual summer party to avoid clashing with Taylor Swift‘s supposed wedding, a new, contrasting update has emerged. Latest reports on the topic suggest that Rubin had an entirely different reason for hosting his celebrity-laden event earlier and had nothing to do with the Fate of Ophelia singer’s reported nuptials.

Michael Rubin reportedly didn’t move his party for Taylor Swift

According to TMZ sources who have direct knowledge of Michael Rubin’s summer meet-up, the billionaire businessman preponed his July 4 party to July 1 due to the UFC’s upcoming event at the White House and not Taylor Swift’s wedding with Travis Kelce.

Previous reports had claimed that Rubin had decided to shift the date of his Hamptons event, which features the “starriest guest list,” so that the gathering “doesn’t clash” with Swift’s apparent marriage day. Although the couple has yet to publicly confirm the schedule for their presumed wedding, recent rumors have strongly hinted towards a July 3 event in New York.

Since Michael Rubin usually hosts his summer soiree at his Bridgehampton home on July 3 or 4, many assumed that he shifted it to July 1 for 2026 to avoid any clashes with Taylor Swift’s reported wedding. Nevertheless, TMZ sources have now mentioned that Rubin had always planned to hold the 2026 event on July 1, having sent out invitations to guests days before rumors regarding Swift’s nuptials surfaced.

Michael Rubin reportedly the schedule for his glamorous party, assuming the UFC 250 White House event would take place on July 4. In fact, President Donald Trump had originally reserved Independence Day for the UFC event before preponing it to June 14 sometime later.

Notably, Rubin’s company, Fanatics, holds a professional relationship with the UFC, which has prompted the businessman to attend several fights over the years.
