Olivia Rodrigo has traded pop-star sparkle for sharp tailoring and a daring dose of skin for a cover of The Hollywood Reporter. The singer reclined on a worn sofa in head-to-toe Schiaparelli, and her skirt stole the show. Slashed with teardrop openings from hip to hem, the cutout skirt turned a buttoned-up look into something far bolder. Meanwhile, a high-neck jacket and diamond drops kept the whole ensemble balanced.

The 23-year-old appears on the magazine’s October cover, alongside a story by Ethan Millman titled “Olivia Rodrigo: The Queen of Sad Finds Her Happy Place.” According to fashion fan page Olivia Rodrigo’s Clothing, the singer wore a jacket from Schiaparelli’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection, listed at $6,100. Called the “Giraffe” jacket, it is black and fitted, with a stand collar and a row of gold buttons.
The centerpiece of the outfit is the skirt. Also part of the same Schiaparelli collection, the cutout skirt is cut in dark fabric that matches the jacket above it. Elongated teardrop-shaped openings run down one side from hip to hem and reveal flashes of skin from every angle. Small gold buttons sit along the edges of the cutouts. These also match the buttons on the jacket and add a metallic accent to the dark fabric. The openings give the skirt its see-through effect without leaving the silhouette loose.

Her shoes continued the theme. She also wore Schiaparelli velvet keyhole pumps, priced at $2,000. The only jewelry on her was a pair of Tiffany & Co. “Tiffany” Knot Drop Earrings. Set in white gold with diamonds, the pieces are listed at $9,400.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, she was photographed at The Ebell of Los Angeles, with styling by Chloe and Chenelle Delgadillo. Makeup credits go to Melissa Hernandez, hair to Owen Gould, and nails to Yoko. Also, behind the camera was photographer Emma Summerton.
The cover arrives at a high point for the singer. Rodrigo recently headlined Daisy Chain Fields, the women-led charity festival she organized. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, she said, “It felt like it was my wedding a little bit.” Her third album also came out earlier this year, with the biggest opening sales for a female artist this year.
