Priyanka Chopra Jonas is reflecting on her whirlwind romance with her husband of seven years, Nick Jonas.

During her appearance on the March 3 episode of Mythical Kitchen’s Last Meals, hosted by Josh Scherer, Priyanka, 43, opened up about her marriage to Nick, 33, and the couple's mutual excitement for the future.

Scherer pointed out that during Nick's time on the show in July 2025, the "Close" singer expressed his belief in reincarnation and his dreams of seeing Priyanka in their "next lives." Priyanka responded that she feels the same way, and looked back on them dating, getting engaged and tying the knot after just "six months."

Priyanka and Nick said "I do" in December 2018 in two ceremonies in India — a western, Christian wedding and a Hindu wedding — just a few months after they got engaged. The couple had celebrated their engagement in India with a traditional Roka, which Priyanka described as a family ceremony where relatives congratulate the couple on "starting their new life" and bless them with gifts.

It was during this celebration's fire ritual that the significance of it all hit Priyanka.

"We had, like, four pundits, which are Indian priests, sitting and chanting. I walked down, and my mom had changed the whole downstairs —all the couches were moved, there was low seating, there was a Havan Kund in the middle, which is for a fire ceremony, and there were these pundits just chanting," Priyanka remembered. "The whole feeling was as if I was walking into a new life."

She continued, "It didn't hit me when he put the ring on my finger ... but when we walked in hand in hand, I was like, 'Oh, things are shifting. This is different.' I go from my mom to my husband. [I'm] choosing my family. So the gravity of that was not lost on either of us."

In a private moment after the ceremony, Nick held Priyanka's hand and told her, "I feel like we are on our third or fourth lifetime."

Priyanka explained that in Hindu weddings, when couples walk around the fire seven times, they are making a promise for seven lifetimes.

"We believe in reincarnation, and we believe that you find your person again and again and again," she said. "And when he said that to me, I thought about it for a second, we're in our third or fourth [lifetime], and I said, 'Why do you say that?' He said, 'Because it's so familiar. It feels like home, but at the same time I want to experience so much of it together.' I mean, how are you not gonna marry that man?"
